Meet The Team

Co-founders Andy and Eleanor developed a multi award-winning approach to behaviour change that they have applied in many different settings. Over the last 20 years they have worked with organisations around the world applying their knowledge of psychology and behaviour change.

In 2017 they decided to bring their process directly to individuals who know they want to change something about their lives.

“We know that our approach does make a difference to people’s lives and that excites us”.

MEET ELEANOR

Explorer of people. Jack Russell owner. Mum to twins. Sister. Wife. Daughter. Friend. Gin drinker.

Eleanor has always passionately explored ways to help people understand how to get the change they want in life. She studied Psychology at university in Glasgow, Scotland and went on to have a successful career working for commercial and government organisations. She set up a consultancy business in 2008 bringing her unique way of systematically applying the science of psychology to organisations large and small. Throughout her career she has always creatively sought ways to share her insights, knowledge and experience, whether it’s presenting at international conferences, inspiring small groups in workshops or working one to one.

“Showing people how to use the principles of psychology to make change happen and to empower them to get the life they want and deserve are my daily inspirations”.

MEET ANDY

Pub quiz nerd. Foodie. Data geek. Parent. Runner. Walker.

Andy has wanted to help people using psychology for as long as he has known psychology exists. Since discovering how to combine psychological science and systems analysis Andy has sought new methods and tools to help others gain insight into their lives to make their lives better. He studied Psychology at Southampton University, Human Factors at Birmingham University and was a researcher at both Manchester and Bristol Universities. For 17 years he successfully led a behaviour science team in the corporate sector but in 2015 he branched out to set up a new company specialising in behaviour change and decision making. As a part of this activity he partnered with like minded experts and then co-founded Behaviour Works with Eleanor.

“Helping others gain insight into their lives using psychological science in order to make things better is why I get up in the morning”

Praise for the Programme

I felt overwhelmed at the thought of changing my behaviour but this made it achievable and I have reused the tools many times in many situations.
I found the clarity and purpose to understand what needed to change and then took action to get the job (and the money) I wanted.
A step by step guide that offers more than just common sense, but a real tool set for making change in life.

ORGANISATIONS WE SUPPORT

The process that we use to help people get the change they want in their life in our Making Change Happen programme is called the Whale approach.

Inspired by a whale-watching trip to Monterey we support Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) by donating £1 from every online sale of the Making Change Happen programme.

WDC work worldwide to protect whales and dolphins and the places they live.

Whales play an amazing role in an ecosystem that keeps every creature on Earth alive, including you!

Humans have done enormous damage to the planet including killing millions of whales and wiping out up to 90% of some populations.  Yet few people are aware that recovering whale populations can help fight the damage we cause. Whales play a vital role in the marine ecosystem where they help provide up to 50% of our oxygen, combat climate change and sustain fish stocks.
